simple to take out old bulb and this one was great, the only issue was the plug on this bulb was upside down, just switched it around and it went right in.

Nobody wants to be watching TV and the screen goes black. That happened to me once in the last 8 years and I learned to always have a spare on hand. My experience happened the Friday before Super Bowl and I had to order a new one using Overnight Delivery. It was expensive. So now, when my DLP Lamp retires I have a spare in my closet. Phillips makes a quality product and I always trust Amazon when ordering online. The transaction was fast and easy. My lamp assembly was delivered within a week and is now waiting for it's new home in my TV when it's buddy decides to sleep forever!

I have a four-year old Samsung DLP TV. I purchased the lamp as a backup to the original so that I would have it in the event the original lamp failed. Upon delivery, I installed it in the TV. In my opinion, the four-year old original-equipment lamp works better than the Sylvania replacement lamp. The delivery was timely and the packaging did a good job protecting the product during shipping.

This is a direct replacement to the factory installed lamp. The installation instruction were very clear and made the work for replacement a simple process. The lamp makes my TV perform just like new with the clear picture and brillant colors. I definitely will consider this for future replacement purchases.
